Local context
What we see when we work in Cornwall
Practical, area-specific notes — not generic copy.
Cornwall is one of the most rural and most economically deprived counties in southern England — the duchy contains some of the most-deprived wards in the South West (parts of Camborne, Redruth, Penzance and St Austell). Housing is spread across small market towns, coastal villages and very remote inland hamlets, and seasonal tourism shapes much of the economy.
Cornwall Partnership NHS FT provides community mental health, learning disability and adult ND services. Cornwall has had some of the longest published adult ASD and ADHD diagnostic waits in England; we do not require a diagnosis to book.
We routinely travel long distances within Cornwall — from Bude in the north-east to Penzance in the far west is more than two hours by road. We are upfront about travel time and surcharges for remote villages, and we work in step with the West of England Rural Mental Health and Cornwall isolation-prevention agendas.
We work in granite cottages on the Lizard, fisherman’s cottages in St Ives and Mousehole, mid-terraces in Truro and Camborne, modern estates in Bodmin and St Austell, and remote farmhouses on Bodmin Moor.

For commissioners & professionals
Working with Cornwall Council
If you are a social worker, OT, housing officer, safeguarding lead or commissioner in Cornwall, here is how Neatly fits alongside your work.
Statutory alignment
We deliver a person-centred, trauma-informed model that complements Care Act 2014 (or the equivalent Scottish, Welsh or NI framework) assessments and multi-agency self-neglect & hoarding work. We are explicitly NOT a deep-clean contractor.
Procurement & commissioning
Neatly is willing to engage with Cornwall Council Adult Social Care, SEND commissioning and the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly ICB. Our model is well-suited to rural-isolation safeguarding work and to multi-agency self-neglect plans across the duchy.
