Lambeth is one of the most populous inner-London boroughs and one of the most ethnically diverse in the UK — home to the historic Brixton Caribbean community, large African (particularly Portuguese-speaking) communities in Stockwell and Vauxhall, and significant LGBTQ+ communities across Vauxhall, Kennington and Brixton.
South London and Maudsley NHS FT (SLaM) — internationally renowned in mental health — is headquartered in Lambeth at Denmark Hill, and provides community mental health, learning disability and adult ND services. Lambeth has long-standing innovative work on mental health peer support and recovery; we are familiar with the SLaM Living Well Network and the Lambeth Together model.
Lambeth has a high proportion of social housing, including Lambeth-managed estates and TMOs, and we are experienced at working in flats where the landlord may need notice for any work. Sessions can be arranged around tenancy/repairs constraints.
We work in Georgian terraces in Kennington, Victorian conversions in Brixton and Clapham, post-war estates in Stockwell and Tulse Hill, and 1930s mansion blocks across the borough.
