What we see when we work in Hampshire
Practical, area-specific notes — not generic copy.
Hampshire County Council covers 11 districts and boroughs (Southampton and Portsmouth are separate unitaries — see those pages). Its 1.4 million residents live in environments as varied as the New Forest National Park, the affluent commuter towns of the M3 corridor (Basingstoke, Winchester, Fleet), the post-industrial north-east around Aldershot and Farnborough, and the south-coast belt of Eastleigh, Fareham, Gosport and Havant.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight ICB has commissioned an integrated neurodevelopmental pathway, but adult ADHD and autism diagnostic waits remain long. We routinely support self-identified neurodivergent adults across the county.
Hampshire's military communities — particularly around Aldershot, Tidworth, Bordon and Gosport — bring specific patterns: frequent moves every 2–3 years mean that paperwork, school records and household contents accumulate in ways that are hard to manage even without ND. Our session approach acknowledges this.
We work in New Forest cottages with thatched roofs and very limited storage, modern executive estates around Chineham and Whiteley, and small flats in Aldershot and Gosport. We have no expectation of how a Hampshire home 'should' look.

For commissioners & professionals
Working with Hampshire County Council
If you are a social worker, OT, housing officer, safeguarding lead or commissioner in Hampshire, here is how Neatly fits alongside your work.
Statutory alignment
We deliver a person-centred, trauma-informed model that complements Care Act 2014 (or the equivalent Scottish, Welsh or NI framework) assessments and multi-agency self-neglect & hoarding work. We are explicitly NOT a deep-clean contractor.
Procurement & commissioning
Neatly is willing to engage with HCC Adult Services, HCC SEND commissioning, and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight ICB. Our model is suited to multi-agency hoarding pathway support and to working alongside Hampshire armed-forces family teams.
